JPI Creative Technology
Task
JPI a "Creative Technology" company found that their geographical location was limiting the type and caliber of personnel they could hire. Although they current had a successful business and customer base with a dedicated development team the in ability to grow their resource base made it difficult for them to take on more and larger development work.
As one of the existing personnel agencies JPI used and their knowledge of our development capability,
JPI asked if we could help. We were glad to.
Issues
Current geographical location was too remote for most people to consider relocation.
Moving the current office to somewhere more central was not an option.
Offshore development was deemed too complicated and the use of solely using contractors was not that appealing to the management team.
The Approach
After a period of time speaking with the client Omniarc suggested that they open a satellite office
in a more central geographical area. In order to prove that it was location, rather than the company putting perspective candidates off Omniarc suggested that they carry out an advertising campaign localised to the area that we thought would be logistically best from an operational and cost view
point.
The campaign ran for three weeks and within six weeks we where able to build a vetted team of
designers, developers, testers and project managers that matched the profile provided to us by JPI.
The Result
JPI opened up a new satellite office and continued to grow their company and take on new and larger projects. Omniarc continue to provide new personnel to JPI and on certain occasion provide extra development support on their projects.
